PLHHP adds Paul Carson as a mentor

GRAND-FALLS, NB, October 13th, 2022 – Paul Leclerc from Paul Leclerc High Performance Hockey is excited to announce the addition of Paul Carson as a mentor.

Paul Carson is currently Chairman Of The Board for the Coaching Association of Canada and was the Vice President of Hockey Development with Hockey Canada for 18 years before he retired in 2020. Prior to assuming his duties as the Vice President, Paul C. was the Director of Development. Throughout Paul’s tenure at Hockey Canada as a staff member and volunteer he played an integral role in the development of the Hockey Canada Skills Manuals and Skills Camps, the National Coach Mentorship Program, the Skills of Gold Technical DVD series, and was instrumental in the design and implementation of the Hockey Canada Skills Academy Program. Prior to joining the staff at Hockey Canada, Paul C. was a volunteer with the BC Amateur Hockey Association serving in a leadership capacity with the National Coach Certification Program and the BC Best Ever Program. His coaching credentials include seven seasons as an assistant coach with the UBC Thunderbirds (CIS) and various coaching roles within the BC Best Ever Program including an assistant coach position with Team BC at the 2002 Canada Winter Games.

As anyone can imagine, Paul L. is ecstatic to have a chance to work with Paul C. : “I’m extremely excited to have the opportunity to work with a man of his experience. Paul C. is very knowledgeable and well-versed in pretty much anything related to Hockey Canada. Having been involved with them for so long and having worked on multiple projects like skills manuals and DVD series makes him a guru! Every time we meet, I become a better coach. I can’t wait to see where this relationship could lead”

Every time we meet, I become a better coach.

Paul Leclerc

Paul L. also just found out he got accepted into the NCCP Advanced Coaching Diploma program. This program is the most extensive multi-sport training program offered by the National Coaching Certification Program in Canada. Coaches holding an NCCP Advanced Coaching Diploma are recognized as among the most qualified coaches and leaders of Canadian athletes and sports programs to compete at provincial, national, and international levels. This is great news for our local kids and coaches because Paul intends to keep helping the region’s youth and push them to maximize their potential one player at a time.
