PREPARATION FOR HIGH SCHOOL CAMP
New Brunswick high school hockey camps can start September 19th while school starts on the first week of September. This 2-week, 6-session camp is to give a chance for serious high school hockey players to get on the ice and get some high-level practice time. Over the span of two weeks, players will be able to skate 3 times a week and therefore get ready for the upcoming selection camp. Like other prep camps, battle drills and conditioning drills will be at the forefront during this high-intensity camp. With this lengthier camp, we will be able to dive into skating, passing, puckhandling, shooting, and bodychecking skills a bit more. This is a great opportunity to knock the rust off and get back in the swing of things.
The camp is for players who were born from 2005 to 2008 inclusively who are interested in trying out for their high school hockey team. The six 60-minute on-ice sessions will be held at a cost of $225 per player/goalie.
Our goalie coach, Tommy Alain, will be on the ice for some sessions but not all of them. There will be no goalie instruction when he’s not the ice.
The on Ice Focus of the Camps Is:
- Conditioning drills
- Battle drills
- Bodychecking technique
- Puck handling
- Shooting and passing skills
- Skating skills
- Professional instruction
- Game situation drills
