Description
This camp is our organization’s most complete camp!
The camp is dedicated to North West New Brunswick competitive U11 and U13 players and spans from mid-April to the end of May. Our Spring Camp is a skills-based camp that includes a mini 2-line tournament and a complete individual evaluation of the four core competencies of a high-performance athlete.
To be a complete athlete, your son does not need to be only good technically, but also physically, tactically, and psychologically. The latter is severely overlooked even though it’s often the main limiting factor in good technical players. We will not only evaluate these four core competencies, but once the gaps are identified, we will provide recommendations and tools to help each player to progress and close those gaps.
Here is a complete list of our Spring Camp content :
- Draft for 2-line mini-tournament (first activity of camp)
- The naming of team captains (interested players will need to apply online prior to the start of the camp. A mini zoom interview will be part of the selection process)
- 2 hours of ice time per week on the same day to facilitate travel. (Tuesday or Wednesday in accordance with the Jets’ spring schedule to avoid conflicts)
- Off-ice sessions (leadership, commitment, high-performance path) Captains will receive one or two additional leadership sessions.
- Certified on-ice goaltending coach (time and space will be reserved for the goalkeepers during each session)
- Professional physical evaluation (in collaboration with the Kinesiology Department of the Université de Moncton – Edmundston Campus)
